The Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition/ TV Quiz is probably the most popular mathematics competition, due to its finals, where a lot of genius minds meet and so much entertainment is realized. The apex of the thrill comes in the Cowbellpedia 60 seconds of fame.
Stages: The Cowbellpedia comes in 2 stages. Round 1 and Round 2.
The Round 1 is the State Round, the top 100 students with the highest scores are selected along side the best student from each state.
The Round 2 takes place in Lagos, where the students are placed in groups and tested until the semi-final and then finals.

Registration: The Registration can be done via the official Cowbellpedia website. The Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition Round 1 Usually takes place between the end of February and the beginning of March.

2. National Mathematical Center (NMC) Mathematics Olympiad: The NMC Olympiad is very popular too. This is because of the final rewards. Students get a trip to a foreign country and Scholarships to any African Country of their Choice.
Stages: The Round 1 of the NMC Olympiad is the State Round. It is held in every State in Nigeria. Full details about registration can be gotten from the various State Ministries of Education and the NMC Olympiad Website.

The Round 2 takes place in the various states also. The best students in the country (usually 10-15 in number) from each category (senior and junior) are then taken to the NMC Center in Abuja where final selection is done. The International Mathematics Olympiad for 2022 will take place in Oslow, Norway.
Prize: The winners from the State Round Receive medals (gold, silver and bronze) along side certificates of distinction. While the round 2 winners who qualify to represent Nigeria get a free trip to a foreign country and Scholarships to any African country of their choice.
Date: NMC Olympiad Round 1 takes place in October, while the Round 2 takes place between the end of November and Beginning of December.

3. Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) Olympiad Mathematics Competition: The MAN Olympiad is also popular and is organized by the most popular Mathematics body in Nigeria, Mathematical Association of Nigeria. It has 3 stages, the Local Government, State and National Stages. The State Winners Receive cash prizes. The National Stage is held in Lagos where cash prizes are also awarded to the the best Students.
Date: The date for the MAN Olympiad varies from year to year. Information regarding the competition can be gotten from the various State Ministries of Education.
4. International Youth Mathematics Challenge: This competition is held every year and the registration is strictly online. It is a high profile African mathematics competition and the rewards are worth it.
Prize: The cash prize for the competition in over N300,000.
