Do away with the fear:  Interswitch SPAK past questions are not as tough as people think. You just have to understand time management. A. Baby of the Year Competition

PZ CUSSONS Nigeria Plc. hereinafter referred to as the company with RC No. 693 whose registered office is at 45/47 Town Planning Way, Ilupeju, Lagos promotes the Cussons Baby Moments Competition.

The Company is the manufacturer and marketer of the Cussons Baby (‘CB’) product range.

The Cussons Baby Moments Competition (the “Competition”) is intended to be conducted in the Federal Republic of Nigeria only and shall be construed and evaluated according to applicable Nigerian laws. . Entry in this competition constitutes acceptance of these competition rules (the “competition rules”).

1. ELIGIBILITY:

i. To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must: be a legal resident of Nigeria attained the age of maturity in Nigeria – 18 years and above; and must be a parent, related guardian, or sibling (Contestant / Entrant) to the competing baby with proof of identification and relationship to the competing baby.

ii. All competing babies must be between the ages of 0 and 36 months at the time of entry into the competition.

iii. All top 3 winners from the past Cussons Baby Moments Competition will not be allowed to participate in the Contest.

iv. A valid Birth Certificate and proof of guardianship for the Child will be requested, anytime during the competition or the Grand finale to validate the age of the Child as at the date of the entry for the contest.

v. Consent Letter from the parent, related guardians, or sibling allowing the child to participate in the Contest.

vi. The individual will be the sole owner of all rights, titles, and interests submitted in connection with the Contest.

vii. By entering the Competition, the Entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted is true, current, and complete and they have full rights to the images and details/data that is uploaded and that the use of the said material shall not constitute a breach of any third party’s copyright or other intellectual property rights.

viii. Employees of the Company, associated company, (collectively, the “Sponsors”), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising, and promotional agencies, and the household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

ix. The Sponsors shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in the disqualification of the entrant. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to the Sponsors for the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate, and in no way misleading. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant should such an entrant at any stage of the competition supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading personal details and/or information.

x. Please note, any illegal sourcing for votes not limited to social media promotion, partnership with influencers, purchase of likes or any other form of lobbying for votes will result in disqualification of the participants.

2. CONTEST PERIOD.

i. The Contest begins at 2:00 p.m. Greenwich Meridian Time (“GMT”) on 23rd of November 2021 and ends at Midnight Greenwich Meridian Time (“GMT”) on 26th of February, 2022 (the “Contest Period”). To be eligible for the Contest, entries must be received between the contest entry period/timeline from 23rd of November 2021 to 17th of January, 2022 (the end of the “Entry Period”) after which the Entry Period will be closed and no further entries will be accepted.

3. HOW TO ENTER.

i. A purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.

ii. To enter the contest, participants must purchase any three (3) different Cussons Baby Products or any Cussons Baby Gift pack.

iii. Take a picture of the baby (aged 0-3 years old) showcasing their special talent with the Cussons Baby Products in view and upload on the web application. The web application here refers to the Cussons Baby web application which can be accessed via this link: cussonsbaby.com.ng/cbm8

iv. Entrants are advised to carefully read the terms and conditions instructions and familiarize themselves with the instructions concerning the contest.

v. Entrants are advised to provide all information required in the form for the entry to be valid.

vi. Entrant’s upload should be made within the specific duration of the competition (23rd of November 2021 to 17th of January, 2022) to ensure validity.

vii. All entries made after the stated deadline dates will be void.

viii. The Company reserves the right at any time to verify the validity of claims and Entrants (including but not limited to Entrant’s identity and place of residence) and to disqualify all entries that are not following the Terms and Conditions or that tampers with the claims process. The failure of the Company to implement any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.

ix. The Company hereby states that it will only accept picture entries that will not violate the intellectual property, privacy, or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything, which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing, or threatening. Also, photoshopped pictures would not be accepted.

x. After you have submitted your entry, follow all our social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and like our Facebook Page.

xi. By participating in this competition, the Entrant grants permission to the Company to use the images or details/data in all media for promotional /marketing purposes with no payment consideration to the Entrant.

xii. All Entrants must ensure that they have a valid means of Identification. Recognized personal identification shall be Driver’s license, International Passport, or National Identity card, other forms of identification will not be accepted.

4. WINNER SELECTION.

i. Determination of the final winner will be done via a 5-stage process.

The 5 stages will include;

a. Stage 1: Entry Period (23rd of November, 2021 to 17th of January 2022)

  • . Each Week during the entry period, the Top 125 most creative entries will be selected.
  • – Any unselected entry will be allowed to re-enter the contest each week during the entry period with a more creative photo.
  • – 1,000 Babies will be shortlisted to move to the next stage of the competition.
  • – Shortlisted Babies shall be selected based on Picture Clarity, Creativity, Age range (0-3years), Baby in the professional outfit, and 3 Cussons Baby products or a Cussons Baby Gift Pack in the shot.

b. Stage 2 (Epic Moments): This is an online voting phase to determine the top 50 babies from 1,000 babies. Babies with the highest votes on the app will be selected. This stage commences on the 25th of January 2022 and ends on the 31st of January 2022.

-Parent / Guardians of the shortlisted 1000 babies will be required to create and upload a maximum of 60-sec video of their baby only expressing their talent on the web application and canvass for votes.

50 babies with the highest valid votes (whose voting process is compliant with the terms and conditions of voting) would be shortlisted from this stage.

c. Stage 3 (Bonding Moments): This is the second online voting phase. From the 50 shortlisted babies, 10 Babies with the highest valid votes will be selected during this stage. (4th of February 2022 – 10th of February, 2022).

¬¬- Contestants will be required to create and upload a 60 seconds video showing bonding moments where at least one family member is coaching/nurturing/encouraging their baby’s talent in the display. Videos will be uploaded on the web application and parents/guardians are to canvass for votes.

10 babies with the highest valid votes (whose voting process is compliant with the terms and conditions of voting) would be shortlisted from this stage.

d. Stage 4 (Nurturing Moments): The Top 10 Contestants will be required to create and upload a 60 seconds video of a day in the life of their Baby while also showing how Cussons Baby products nurture their child on the web application and parents/guardians are to canvass for votes. (15th of February – 22nd of February, 2022).

e. Stage 5 (Grand finale):

Winners will be selected based on a weighted scoring system as follows: Highest votes from stage 4 (50%), and Judges selection and scoring (50%) at the grand finale. Judges’ decisions will be based on defined criteria and shall be final. The top 3 winners would emerge at the grand finale. Cash prize and Cussons Baby products for the winner and runners up, as well as a consolation prize to the remaining top 7 babies.

f. Before being declared the Prize Winners, the selected entrants shall be required to have correctly met the requirements to comply with the Contest Rules.

g. EACH SELECTED ENTRANT WILL BE NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE / EMAIL NO LATER THAN 72 hours to the Grand Finale.

h. Family, friends, and fans of the entrants can vote for their favorite baby by clicking on the vote (like) button by the baby’s picture. Entrants are also eligible to vote for themselves.

i. 95% of the votes for each entrant must come from Nigeria.

j. Each voter can vote a maximum of five times during each voting round at each of the stages.

k. Each voter will only be allowed one vote per baby during each stage.

l. Voting will be done on the Cussons baby web application platform cussonsbaby.com.ng/cbm8 using verified Facebook Accounts.

m. The Company reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter, and/or monitor information provided by entrants and remove the same.

n. Upon notification, the selected entrant must respond by email to the contact Admin / Email provided in the notification, and the Sponsors must receive the selected entrant’s response within two (2) business days of such notification. If the selected entrant does not respond following the Contest Rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a Prize and another entrant may be selected at the Sponsors’ sole discretion. The Sponsors are not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected entrant to receive notification or for the Sponsors to receive a selected entrant’s response.

5. PRIZES.

i. Grand Prize.

a. Final winners will be awarded at the Grand Finale in front of a live audience, panel of Judges, and media.

b. Prizes are non–transferable.

c. The decision of the panel of Judges is FINAL and no correspondence will be entered into it.

d. The Company reserves the right to select an alternative winner because the selected winner declines the prize offer based on personal issues. No prize will be deferred to a later date than the stipulated reward duration.

e. Any further winner will be selected on the same criteria as the original winner and shall be subject to these rules.

f. Any prize not collected for any reason a month after notification will be forfeited and no correspondence will be entered into.

g. The use of the prizes awarded to winners is at the risk and expense of the winners. Winners cannot hold the Company liable for the use of prizes.

h. If the prize is not available despite the reasonable endeavors to secure it, the Company has the right to substitute with prizes of equal value.

i. Entrant’s participation in this competition is considered as acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of the competition and the Competition Entries.

ii. Prizes Drawing:

  • Winner – N2,000,000.00 and a year’s supply of Cussons Baby products.
  • 1st Runner Up – N1, 000,000.00 and six (6) months’ supply of Cussons Baby products.
  • 2nd Runner Up – N500, 000.00 and six (6) months’ supply of Cussons Baby products.
  • 4th – 10th positions- N100, 000.00- and 3-months supply of Cussons Baby products.

6. Timeline Challenges (Side-attractions):

i. The Cussons Baby Moment 8 TIMELINE CHALLENGE (the “Contest”) begins at 2:00 pm GMT on 23rd November 2021 (Call to Entry) and ends at 11:59 p.m. 26th February 2022 (Grand finale). –

Only during each timeline challenge will entries be accepted for the contest.

Timeline challenges will be announced on the brand’s social media platforms at specific times during the campaign.

A. People’s Choice Competition

1. Promotion Period:

i. The Cussons Baby Moments 8 PEOPLE’S CHOICE (the “Contest”) begins on the 25th of January 2022 and ends on the 31st of January 2022 (“Promotion Period”). Only during this timeline will entries be accepted for the contest.

Winner Selection:

Winners of the People’s Choice award will be selected based on the highest number of votes acquired from stage 2, being the contestant with the highest votes from the top 1,000 Babies after uploading their videos and canvassing for votes.

a. Prize

i. N50, 000.00 (Fifty-thousand Naira) and one (1) month supply of Cussons Baby products.

B. Nominate a Mum:

i. The Cussons Baby Moment 8 NOMINATE A MUM (“the “Contest”) begins at 2:00 pm GMT on 23rd of November 2021 and ends at 11:59 p.m. GMT on 17th of January 2022. (“Entry stage”). Only during the timeline period will entries be accepted for the contest.

How to participate:

The ‘’Nominate a Mum’’ contest allows members of the public to nominate as many mums as possible who meet the required criteria i.e., have a baby between the ages of 0-36 months to participate in the campaign.

The individual with the highest number of conversions, as can be gleaned from the Cussons Baby web application platform i.e., the individual who is able to get the highest number of mothers to register for the contest wins the prize.

The following steps are required:

iii. Read the terms and conditions to get more details about the activity.

a. Prize

i. N25, 000.00 (Twenty-five thousand Naira) shopping voucher.

C. Special Categories (5):

i. The Cussons Baby Moment 8 SPECIAL CATEGORIES (the “Contest”) begins at 2:00 pm GMT on 23rd of November 2021 and ends at 11:59 p.m. GMT on 26th of February, 2022 (“Promotion Period”). Only during the Promotion Period will entries be accepted for the contest.

There will be five (5) special categories during the CBM 8 campaign.

• Most Creative Video- Winner shall be selected based on Video Clarity, Creativity (Best Concept), Age range (0-3years).

• Most Charming Video- Winner shall be selected based on Video clarity, Video must have an emotional appeal to it, Creativity, and Age range (0-3 years).

• Cutest Baby- The winner shall be selected based on Cute Pictures, Video Clarity and Creativity.

• Toothy Smile- Winner shall be selected based on Cute Smile (Teeth in view), Video Clarity, and Creativity.

• Baby Got Swag- The winner shall be selected based on Cool/Fresh Pictures, Video Clarity, and Creativity.

a. Winner Selection:

i. Winners will be selected from the Top 50 Babies, after Top 10 Babies have been selected to move to the next stage, i.e., winners would be selected from the remaining 40 babies after stage 3.

ii. Winners can only win in one category.

iii. Cutest Baby and Baby Got Swag Winners would be rewarded at the grand-finale.

b. Prizes Drawing

Most Creative Video/Most Charming Video/Toothy Smile

i. N50, 000.00 each and two (2) months’ supply of Cussons Baby products.

ii. N100, 0000.00 each and two (2) month’s supply of Cussons Baby products.

7. GENERAL

i. The Company will not accept responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines to related to or resulting from participation in the Competition.

ii. The Company shall not be held liable for any copyrighted material or any material that infringes any other intellectual property rights which have been uploaded by an entrant during the competition. All entrants must upload pictures or videos of which they either own the copyright or any other intellectual property right or have obtained permission from the original owner of such right.

iii. The Company has the right to modify or terminate the competition without notice. In the event of such change or termination, by participating in the competition, Entrants have agreed to relinquish their rights in respect to the competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Company.

iv. The Company has the right to use footage and pictures from the competition’s activations including the images and personal details provided by the Entrant on any of its advertising materials (during and after the competition) without prior notice or consent of the Entrant and payment of any modeling fee or any other fee whatsoever.

v. Entrant’s participation in this competition is considered as acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of the competition.

vi. The Company will add the personal information provided by the Entrants to its database and provide personal data to third parties it engages within line with promotion and activation.

vii. Any attempt to use multiple Facebook accounts or other tactics to enter or vote more than the stated limit by the entrants shall result in disqualification and all associated entries and/or votes will be void.

viii. Entries or votes generated by script, macro, commercial contest subscription, entering service sites, or any other automated means and entries or votes by any means that sabotage the entry or voting process that does not conform to the terms or spirit of these competitions rules will void the entry or votes and shall disqualify the entrant.

ix. The Company has the right to delete any information uploaded by an entrant, which is believed to be illegal, obscene, offensive, or defamatory, or is otherwise inappropriate for a competition that is meant to portray the amazing and amusing things about babies.

x. The Company has the right to use the images taken of the winner for publicity purposes in any manner it deems fit, without further remuneration being made payable to the winner.

xi. Top Entrants from the online voting stage may be required to reconfirm their full names, valid identification, and contact details before or during the Grand Finale. Recognized personal identification shall be Driver’s license, International Passport, or National Identity card, other forms of identification will not be accepted.

xii. The Company, its associated companies, directors, and employees, shall not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the Entrant.

xiii. The decision of the panel of Judges during the pre-selection and grand finale phase is FINAL and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANT.

i. By entering the Contest, Entrant releases the Sponsors/organizers from any liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any Prize-related activity. The Entrant shall not bring any claim against the Sponsor / Organizer. The Entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Company from any claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.
