The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Monday 24th January 2022 revealed that registration for the 2022 JAMB UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) will commence by February 12, 2022. Registration for the 2022 Direct Entry examination also known as DE will commence on the same date as JAMB (February 12, 2022).

The JAMB board made this notice clear in its weekly bulletin. This information was made public in Abuja by the JAMB Director of Public Relations, Dr. Benjamin Fabian.

The board announced the events through the bulletin as follows.

• The UTME/DE registration begins 12th February 2022
• The UTME/DE registration closes on the 19th of March 2022.
• MOCK Examinations (Preparatory Examinations) to take place on the 20th April 2022.
• JAMB UTME holds from 20th to 30th April 2022.

With this notice in place, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 2022 Examinations will begin on the 20th of April and end on the 30th of April. This therefore means the Exam would last for just ten Days.

Here are 3 Important things to note about JAMB 2022.

• There will be no extension of registration deadline. Students are therefore advised to stick to the timeframe given by JAMB.
• Students are to prepare adequately to avoid low scores as the average performance in JAMB 2021 was not encouraging.
• Good research is to be done on the recommended subjects for your course. This is very important because as it affects the admission process.

The JAMB Board has also promised to refund the sum of N4,000 to candidates who paid but were unable to register successfully in the 2021 Unified Tertiary matriculation Examinations(UTME) and also Direct Entry (DE) Examinations.

In their words, “This is to inform all 2021 candidates who had paid a draft of 4,000 Naira for late registration… but were not able to complete the registration which wasn’t a fault from the board. The JAMB Board had extended the registration twice, to make adequate changes to the Board’s website and complete a form for the refund of the value of the draft they submitted to the Board.”

“The above candidates are to click on the link 2021 UTME/DE Unregistered Candidates Bank Draft Recapture and fill the spaces after which they would key in the token sent to the phone numbers they had submitted during the submission of their drafts.
It is this token that would be used to access a form on which they will fill in their account details for the refund of the value of the draft. Candidates are to provide these details within the next two weeks from the date of this publication.”

“A text message containing OTP has been sent to the affected candidates besides this notification, “the bulletin added.

The UTME, conducted by JAMB is a uniform entry-level examination for candidates seeking tertiary education.

With the JAMB 2022 Date announced, candidates are to avoid paying for jamb “Expo” for the following reasons:

• Jamb Questions are randomly generated. So, while you are in the same exam hall, even the person next to you is answering a different set of questions. It doesn’t matter wether you all registered the same subjects.
• No one linked to JAMB is broke: Even if the person is the grand nephew’s, cousin sister’s niece’s grand son, he is still wealthy and wouldn’t ask you to pay $100 for him to help you out because that’s chicken change. Lastly, even the chief Jamb examiner can hardly dictate the questions you would be given because like I said those questions are random. Don’t be fooled by anyone. No one can increase your JAMB scores.
• You are going to the university, a story is told of someone who scored an A in Mathematics in WAEC, requested for admission and was given “mathematics” he was confused because he knew nothing in mathematics. So, it’s important you learn everything yourself so that when you are given those courses you requested for, you can Excel.
• You would waste your moneyif you pay for Ekpo because by the time they collect your money, they’ll block you and that would be it.
• Summary: Be very wise, don’t wait till you become a victim.
