Benue State University (BSU) Makurdi 29th Orientation and Matriculation Ceremony Dates for all Freshers/Newly Admitted Students for 2020/2021 Academic Session.
This is to inform all newly admitted students of the Benue State University, Makurdi that the Matriculation Ceremony date for the 2020/2021 academic session has been announced.

The 29th Matriculation Ceremony and Orientation Programme for Fresh Undergraduate students are scheduled to hold as follows:

A. MATRICULATION CEREMONY SCHEDULE
Latest Update: This is to inform you that the Orientation/matriculation of fresh undergraduates earlier scheduled for Wednesday 9th, Thursday 10, and Friday 11 February 2022 has been postponed till further notice.

Venue: Old Convocation Square.

In compliance with COVID-19 non-pharmaceutical protocols, the Vice-Chancellor has approved phased matriculation of Freshmen of the 2020/2021 academic session in the University.

The ceremony is to hold on Friday, 11th February 2022 at the Old Convocation Square beginning from 10:00 a.m.

B. ORIENTATION PROGRAMME SCHEDULE
Date: Wednesday, 9th and Thursday, 10 February 2022
Time: 9 am
Venue: Old Convocation Square.

NOTE:
All Principal Officers, Provosts, College of Health Sciences, and Members of the Senate shall process. Head of Units and other members of staff are requested to attend the occasion.
Deans and Head of Departments are requested to liaise with the Directorate of ICT OR Faculty ICT Staff to access the list of registered students in their Faculty and Department. They should ensure that all qualified candidates for their respective programmes are properly registered.

Newly admitted students into undergraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 Academic Session are by this announcement enjoined to complete all registration processes on or before the exercise.
Matriculating students are to further that all days for the Orientation and Matriculation ceremony are lecture-free days for them. This is to give them adequate time to participate fully in these events for their good while at the University
Candidates who fail to register as stipulated will not be allowed to matriculate and shall be deemed to have forfeited their admission.
