BSUM Matriculation Gowns Collection & Payment Procedures 2020/2021
Newly admitted students into undergraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 Academic Session are by this announcement enjoined to complete all registration processes on or before the exercise.
Matriculating students are to further that all days for the Orientation and Matriculation ceremony are lecture-free days for them. This is to give them adequate time to participate fully in these events for their good while at the University
Candidates who fail to register as stipulated will not be allowed to matriculate and shall be deemed to have forfeited their admission.

Benue State University, Makurdi (BSUM) Post-UTME Admission Screening Form, Eligibility, Cut-Off Marks, Requirements, Application Guidelines, and Deadline for 2021/2022 Academic Session [UPDATED].
This is to inform all Candidates interested in gaining admission into Benue State University Makurdi for the 2021/2022 Academic Session that the sales of admission form have commenced.

Registration commences from Monday 28th March 2022.

ELIGIBILITY
All Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates who applied for admission into the Benue State University, Makurdi for the 2021/2022 Academic Session and scored 150 points and above in the UTME are eligible to participate in the Post UTME exercise of the University.

All candidates who applied for Law but scored between 150 and 199 are to take their PUTME in Faculty of Arts, while candidates who applied for Medicine and Surgery but scored between 150 and 199 are to take their PUTME along with Anatomy, Nursing, Physiology, and Faculty of Science.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
To participate in the Post UTME exercise, candidates are advised to pay a non-refundable Post UTME registration fee of two thousand nairas (N2,000.00) only using the following online payment modes:

Candidates shall be required to:

  • Visit www.bsum.edu.ng
    Go to the Admissions menu, click on the Post Utme/Delink under the Applications section.
    Enter your JAMB number to verify your application.
    Once your details have been verified click on the “proceed “ link to continue to the payments platform.
    Click on any of the three (3) payment options below to make your payment. which is either
    (I) For cash payments at Bank; Visit any of the following Bank Branches nationwide to make payment.
    Fidelity Bank Plc.
    Zenith Bank Plc.
    ECO Bank Plc.
    Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.

Click on the “Pay Online” button, you will be taken to Interswitch Payment Page. From the drop-down below the page, select your card type and enter the requested information to make a Payment. Once your payment is completed successfully, a receipt will be issued and you can continue with your application.

(III) For payment at ATM terminals
Visit any ATM terminal with your ATM card and do the following:

Select Quickteller from the ATM menu
select pay bills
Fill in the Payment reference number generated from the E-Payment platform when you are requested to enter the Customer ID
Fill in 04255101 when you are requested to enter the Payment Code
Enter your GSM Number and complete the transaction.
After completing the payment, return to the portal to login and print out your Payment Receipt

(IV) For payment using Quickteller from the Internet
Visit the Quickteller website www.quickteller.com/bsum while applicants for courses in the College of Health Sciences should visit www.quickteller.com/chsbsu to complete their transaction.
Enter your Registration number
Enter your email and mobile number and click “continue”
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment
Print out the payment confirmation slip
Return to the portal and print out a payment receipt.
Note: This payment option attracts additional N100.00

B: Registration
After payment, candidates are expected to revisit the University website www.bsum.edu.ng and still select “Post UTME/DE” under the “Applications” section under the Admissions menu of the University website. Once on the page, candidates are to follow the steps below to complete their registration:
Enter your UTME Registration number and click the “Verify” button to verify your details.
Click on the “proceed” link to log in to your account to register and upload relevant credentials online for the Post-UTME exercise.
Click on the “My Bio Data” link to complete your Biodata.
Click on the “Upload Documents” link to upload the following documents:
WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificates or statement of results (not online slips).
Birth Certificate/Declaration of age.
Marriage certificate/affidavits.
Certificate of State Origin.
JAMB Result slip.
Click on the “Acknowledgement Slip” link to print two (2) copies.
Candidates are expected to present the Acknowledgement Slips on the day of Post UTME.
Candidates must upload their O’level results on the JAMB portal. Only candidates whose O’level results are on the JAMB portal will be given admission after passing all the prescribed examinations.

Note that the time and date of your exam will be indicated on your Acknowledgment slip.

The procedure for payment and registration for the Direct Entry screening exercise is as follows:

UI Postgraduate Teaching/Research Assistantship Award 2021/2022

University of Ibadan Postgraduate School Teaching and Research Assistantship Award Competition Form, Eligibility, Requirements and Application Guidelines for Doctoral Scholars for 2021/2022 Academic Session.

The Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan is pleased to announce its 2021/2022 Teaching and Research Assistantship Award Competition and to invite interested doctoral Scholars based in the University of Ibadan to submit applications for consideration for an award.

 Objectives

The Postgraduate College Teaching and Research Assistantship Award is designed to promote and reinforce a culture of academic excellence among doctoral Scholars at the University of Ibadan. It is particularly targeted at scholars who are carrying out advanced research in any academic discipline within the University of Ibadan. Through the scheme, support is offered to scholars already pursuing doctoral degree programmes to acquire basic skills in teaching and research, the expectation being that this will contribute immensely to the pedagogical and research skills of the awardees.

The award carries a handsome monthly stipend subject to review by the Postgraduate College from time to time. Each recipient, to be designated as the “Postgraduate College Teaching and Research Assistant”, will be required to give formal service to his/her Department/Institute as Teaching Assistants or Demonstrators. The Postgraduate College may also require the services of the awardees on special occasions. The Assistantship will be awarded to cover a period of one academic session, in the first instance, renewable for two academic sessions, subject to the positive evaluation of about 2,500 words long project summary, and a progress report from the supervisor, endorsed by the Head of Department, at the end of each academic session.

Eligibility

To be eligible, candidates are expected to be holders of good honors degrees (minimum of Second Class Lower Division or equivalent) of any University recognized by the Senate of the University of Ibadan, and Master degrees of the University of Ibadan (minimum of 5.0 cumulative grade point average) in any academic discipline. Candidates who have accumulated some teaching/research experience may be given special consideration for the award. All applicants are required to be registered full-time doctoral students of the University of Ibadan in the 2021/2022 session.

Requirements for Application

Candidates wishing to be considered for the award of a Teaching/Research Assistantship are requested to submit the following documents:

(a) An Application form obtainable from the website of Postgraduate College (http://pgcollege.ui.edu.ng), duly completed by the applicant and endorsed by the Head of Department and Dean of Faculty.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to indicate the original contributions which they hope their study will make to knowledge.

The Proposal should be typed with 1.5 line spacing using Times New Roman with font size 12. The size of the paper in typescript should be A4 with a margin of 3.7cm to be left on the left-hand side and 1.8cm for other margins except for the top of the first page of the proposal, which should be 5.0cm above the headings. Only one side of the paper should be used. Applicants are to submit 3 copies of their research proposal.

(f) Candidate’s Commitment Letter: A one-page letter from the applicant affirming his/her readiness to submit a report of between 5,000 and 10,000 words as the outcome of the research carried out with the Teaching/Research Assistantship.

The Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan is pleased to announce a Financial Aid Scheme for International Students for the 2021/2022 academic session and to invite interested Master’s degree and Ph.D. students of the University of Ibadan to submit applications for consideration for an award.

Objectives

The Financial Aid Scheme is designed to assist academically sound international students who have been admitted for full-time higher degree programs at the University of Ibadan. The essence of the scheme is to promote cultural diversity in the University. Through the financial aid scheme, support is offered to scholars at Master’s and Ph.D. levels interested in charting new research directions or advancing on-going research in any academic discipline within the University of Ibadan.

The award involves payment of the same tuition and all other fees in Naira as Nigerian students. The award is tenable for a maximum of three semesters for Master’s degree students and a period of one academic session for Ph.D. students, in the first instance, renewable for two academic sessions. Annual renewal of award for Ph.D. students is subject to receipt of positive evaluation reports by the Postgraduate College from the candidate’s supervisor and the Head of Department at the end of each academic session.
