General O’Level Admission Requirements for all Institutions in Nigeria

All students irrespective of their department must have credit in five relevant subjects in the appropriate WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/Teachers’ Grade II examination at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

1. JAMB Subjects Combination for Science Students

Science students must possess a minimum of 5 O’level credit passes in the following subjects: English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Some science courses will still consider Agricultural Science in place of Biology.

2. JAMB Subjects Combination for Arts Students

Art Students going for courses like Law, Philosophy, Linguistics and the rest must possess a minimum of 5 ‘O’level credit passes to include English Language, Lit. In English, Mathematics and any other three Arts/Social Science subjects.

3. JAMB Subjects Combination for Commercial Students

Commercial Students planning to pursue courses like Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and the rest must possess a minimum of 5 ‘O’level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Economics and any other relevant subjects.

4. JAMB Subjects Combination for Social Science Students

Social Science Students planning to pursue courses like Economics, Political Science, Psychology and the rest must possess a minimum of 5 ‘O’level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Economics, and any other relevant subjects.
